Ο συγγραφέας του κόσμου Λεονάρδο Παδούρα έρχεται στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης τη Δευτέρα 19 Ιουνίου. Πεζογράφος και δοκιμιογράφος, θεωρείται ο σημαντικότερος συγγραφέας της Κούβας και συγκαταλέγεται μεταξύ των κορυφαίων της Λατινικής Αμερικής. Γεννήθηκε στην Αβάνα το 1955, όπου εξακολουθεί να ζει μέχρι και σήμερα. Σπούδασε Ισπανική Φιλολογία και Λογοτεχνία. Στη συνέχεια εργάστηκε ως σεναριογράφος, δημοσιογράφος, και κριτικός λογοτεχνίας. Έγινε ευρύτερα γνωστός με την αστυνομική τετραλογία του «Οι τέσσερις εποχές» ( «Τέλειο παρελθόν», «Άνεμοι της Σαρακοστής», «Μάσκες», «Φθινοπωρινό τοπίο») όπου πρωταγωνιστεί ο αστυνομικός Μάριο Κόντε. Ο Παδούρα στην πορεία δημιούργησε μια ολόκληρη σειρά βιβλίων με πρωταγωνιστή τον Μάριο Κόντε, η οποία σημείωσε τεράστια επιτυχία στο αναγνωστικό κοινό και μέχρι σήμερα αριθμεί εννέα τίτλους.
Ο συγγραφέας συνομιλεί με τον καθηγητή του Δημοκρίτειου Πανεπιστημίου Θράκης, Χαράλαμπο Κουρουνδή, και με τον καθηγητή Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Όσλο και συγγραφέα, Θεόδωρο Ρικόπουλο.
